With over 25 years of experience in Finance, Mr. Turner is a Managing Director at Pickwick Capital Partners and a Managing Partner at Simon Venture Partners LLC, a consulting and advisory services firm specializing in start-up companies. As Managing Partner of Simon Venture Partners, he uses his global experience to assist early stage companies to help raise capital and develop their business in the US and Asia.
Prior to joining Pickwick, Mr. Turner was an investment banker at JP Morgan (18 years), Macquarie Bank (3 years) and Lehman Brothers (2 years). During his career, he was responsible for investing in and trading equities, derivatives and structured products and was actively involved in all areas of the capital markets, including IPO and follow-on financing. Mr. Turner has been focused on international markets and Asia in particular, where he has helped numerous companies raise money and complete M&A activity in the US. His extensive financial experience includes working on IPO and follow-on financings for companies such as Alibaba, Baidu, Cheetah Mobile, General Motors, Mazda, Samsung, Sumitomo Trust Bank and Suntory Beverage, among others. He has also worked in an advisory role on M&A transactions for companies such as Konica Minolta and Chugai Roche, and acted as an advisor to large, US-based institutional asset managers and hedge funds looking for investments in overseas entities. Mr. Turner has lived in Israel and Japan and has traveled extensively throughout Asia. Mr. Turner earned a BS in Economics from Yeshiva University. He is a FINRA-registered representative with Pickwick Capital Partners. |
