Alex Bocock is a Managing Director at Pickwick Capital Partners with over 25 years of experience in the energy sector. His career spans roles at an energy-focused hedge fund, an operating oil technology company, and now investment banking, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the industry. He focuses on companies driving the energy transition, broadly defined, bringing deep sector knowledge and strategic insight to each engagement.
Previously, Mr. Bocock was a Partner at Dynamis Advisors, an energy hedge fund focused on upstream energy and emerging technologies. Dynamis was an early investor in Red Leaf Resources, an oil shale technology company, where he served on the Board and as a full-time employee for nearly 15 years. During that time, Red Leaf pursued a major oil shale project in eastern Utah in partnership with Total, the French energy company. In 2022, Mr. Bocock joined GVC Capital, a Denver-based boutique investment bank, where he focused on capital raises for companies in natural resources and the energy transition. Mr. Bocock earned a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder and holds the Series 7, 63, 65, and 79 licenses. |
