Chris Varrone

Chris Varrone is a Managing Director at Pickwick Capital Partners. Mr Varrone brings over 30 years of experience in strategy and finance in a wide variety of sectors including energy, consumer goods, technology, and industrial products. In the past 10 years, he has worked with more than 50 growth companies in renewable energy, energy storage, and the circular economy.
Prior to joining Pickwick, Mr. Varrone served for four years as Managing Director of Silver Leaf Partners, a FINRA-registered broker-dealer in New York City, where he led successful financings in nanotechnology, sustainable packaging, and plastic recycling technology. Previously, Mr. Varrone served as Chief Strategist, Technology R&D at Vestas Wind Systems (VWS.CO), a $10 Billion wind turbine company based in Denmark. During that time, he contributed to Roadmap 2050, the plan for decarbonizing the European grid that was adopted by the European Commission in 2010. Prior to Vestas, Mr. Varrone worked in technology businesses for 14 years, culminating with SAP, where he was Senior Principal and founded the Value Engineering group in the Nordics. He started his career with McKinsey & Co., where he worked for six years, based in New York and Oslo, Norway. Mr. Varrone graduated summa cum laude with a BA in political science from Williams College, and earned his MA in economics (First Class) from Cambridge University. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Norway and speaks Norwegian and Danish fluently. He is a FINRA-registered representative with Pickwick Capital Partners. |
