Construct Tech Bankers Join Pickwick Capital
August 7, 2023 -- The leadership team from Ascentage Advisors, a leading business development and M&A advisory firm for technology companies serving the built environment, has joined forces with Pickwick Capital Partners, LLC. With a 25+ year track record and international coverage, Ascentage’s deep domain expertise spans across design, construction, infrastructure, asset and energy management. R. Drew Ogden, Jeff Herriman and Jay Snyder bring both transactional and operational experience from major companies and professional-services firms in the AEC industry. To complement their roles at Ascentage, they are now also Pickwick managing directors and will provide their investment banking services through the firm.
Earlier in his career, Drew was vice president of legal and business development at Softdesk, Inc., a Nasdaq company, where he was on the management team that took the company public and was responsible for negotiating strategic partnerships, spin-offs and multiple acquisitions. He also served as partner at a law firm specializing in IP law. Drew holds a Juris Doctorate from UNH School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in finance from Franklin Pierce University.
Jeff has over 30 years of international experience in starting, growing, buying/selling and turning around industrial and technology companies; he has completed over 50 sell- and buy-side M&A transactions across the world. He was responsible for strategy, M&A and information technology at Turner Construction in the early 2000s and had the same roles with W.S. Atkins engineering until 2017. Jeff holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Jay has many years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, including at national and regional general contractors. He has managed planning, design and construction for a healthcare system and was founder of a tech startup. A decorated officer in the Air Force Reserve, Jay earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from SUNY ESF at Syracuse University and an MBA from Emory University.
