William F. Wechsler CFA is a Managing Director at Pickwick Capital Partners and Director of the Rafik Hariri Center and Middle East Programs at the Atlantic Council. He is currently on the board of advisors of Thermal Energy Partners, a geothermal energy company, and Capitol Peak’s successor company, CapZone Impact Investments.
Mr. Wechsler was formerly Vice Chairman of Capitol Peak Asset Management, which made infrastructure-related investments alongside U.S. government credit programs. Preceding his role at Capitol Peak Mr. Wechsler served in the United States Government as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Combatting Terrorism, Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury, Director for Transnational Threats on the staff of the National Security Council, and Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Prior to his government service, Mr. Wechsler was Director at Greenwich Associates, a boutique management consultancy specializing in the financial services industry, where he led engagements with investment managers in the United States, United Kingdom and Japan. His areas of focus included corporate branding, internal and external communications, client and consultant relations, sales, product rollouts, strategic acquisitions, and geographical expansions. Mr. Wechsler is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Treasurer of the American Historical Association. He has been published in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Financial Times, Foreign Affairs, and The National Interest, among others. Mr. Wechsler is a graduate of Cornell University and earned a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He is a FINRA-registered representative with Pickwick Capital Partners. |
